Join us for Thursday's BSPUG meeting as we welcome Josh Carlisle
for a very informative session.

Reducing the Friction of SharePoint Development with SharePoint 2010.
Although few argue the business success of SharePoint you'll find far fewer
developers singing the praises of SharePoint and just as few enterprises
understanding how to integrate an application lifecycle process into
SharePoint . For developers the lack-luster integration with Visual Studio
was often a pain point. For developers and designers alike SharePoint
Designer, with all of its portability and applications lifecycle
consequences was also a source of frustration. That paired with the heavy
development environment requirements could often bring development progress
to a crawl. With all that and more in mind SharePoint 2010 represents a
significant step forward for SharePoint as a development platform.
SharePoint is now a first class citizen in Visual Studio 2010.

SharePoint Designer can now fully participate in application development lifecycle.
Windows Vista and Windows 7 are now viable development platforms for
SharePoint. Solution Package and Site Templates are now more portable. In
this session we will be introducing the new features that allow for improved
development life cycle management with better integration with Visual Studio
2010, portability of artifacts between SharePoint Designer - Browser
Customizations and Visual Studio, and a simplified process for creating
solution packages to ease deployment and lifecycle complexities.

A FREE one day conference that gathers the best SharePoint professionals from around the country for a intense day filled with education, community, and prize giveaways.

We will be offering a SharePoint 101 track as well. This track will be a very exclusive 25 person session that will last for 2 two hour sessions. This will be an option to register for separate from the normal days sessions. If you or your organization has some representatives that need very basic ground floor overview of SharePoint, this is a great opportunity.

Speaking about registration, you will be required to validate you are still able to come to the event a few days prior even after you have already registered. The reason we are doing this is to take full advantage of our limited space. We will be filling any newly opened slots from our 40 person waiting list. The event will officially be open to 150 guests as well as the 25 SharePoint 101 attendees.

Additionally, we are still fielding additional sponsors to help promote the event. If you or your organization feels this might be a good fit, please drop us a line back and we can talk specifics as well as send out information packages. As you know our sponsors and volunteers are really what make this “free” event “free”

What is the Workplace Suite v10?

Workplace Suite v10 allows today's SharePoint information worker the ability to extend the capabilities of SharePoint. Many common tasks normally outsourced to a developer are included within this release which enables organizations to lower in-house development costs and enhance productivity with this product.

Capabilities include but are not limited to:

• Business Process for automating and adding workflow to defined processes

• Displays, Dashboards and Reporting for instant access to real-time data and information

• Design Tools to optimize your solutions and overall environment

• One-Touch Management System for centralizing management/maintenance and admin control

This presentation will be delivered in a format that shows the limitations of SharePoint and how Workplace V10 fills those gaps. This will not be a sales overview, the Corasworks Technical Team
will answer all questions from developer, admin, and project manager standpoints alike.
